Macaroons

Macaroons 
14oz bag sweetened flake coconut 
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
1 14oz can condensed milk
**For chocolate Macaroons add: 1/3 cup cocoa** 
maraschino cherries, halved [optional] 
 On greased cookie sheets( or parchment paper lined), place by heaping teaspoon sized dollops and press cherry halves lightly into the centers 
Cook at 350 for 8-10 minutes [ until golden brown] cool on waxed paper. 
Store in layers with waxed paper between each layer. makes about 3 dozen 
 NOTE**expect these to look more like the lighter picture. There is some trick to making fluffy heap macaroons, but I think it requires egg, and these are MIGHTY delicious without it!

Why do I do this blog?

Well, because I like easy to make, flavorful dishes with a moderate fat count, and a wide variety of them. This blog is the perfect place to bring together all of my favorites for easy access to pull up to use when it's time to make dinner.
