2 2/3 cups Baker’s angel flake coconut
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
2/3 cup condensed milk**
For chocolate Macaroons add: 1/3 cup cocoa**
maraschino cherries, halved [optional]

On greased cookie sheets, place by heaping teaspoon sized dollops and press cherry halves lightly into the centers
Cook at 350 for 8-10 minutes [ until golden brown] cool on waxed paper. Store in layers with waxed paper between each layer. makes about 3 dozen

NOTE**expect these to look more like the lighter picture. There is some trick to making fluffy heap macaroons, but I think it requires egg, and these are MIGHTY delicious without it!
